CAUCUS MEETING JUNE 1, 2010 6:00 P.M.

Members Present: Present were Mayor William Henfey, President of Council Patrick Rosenello, Councilpersons Robert McCullion, Joseph Duncan, Edwin Koehler, Robert Maschio, Kellyann Tolomeo and Richard Ogen. Also present were City Administrator Raymond Townsend, Solicitor William Kaufmann and Engineer Ralph Petrella. RESOLUTION: #115-10 RE: Private Meeting – Contract Negotiations & Personnel

The above resolution was offered by Duncan, seconded by McCullion, the roll being called, all voting in the affirmative, the President of Council declared the resolution duly adopted. On a motion by Duncan, seconded by Koehler, that Council now return to open session. Carried. 6:50 PM

REGULAR MEETING JUNE 1, 2010 7:00 P.M. A regular meeting of the North Wildwood City Council was held on the morning of the above date in the City Hall. The President of Council stated, “The meeting is now open. Adequate notice of this meeting has been provided by posting a copy of the notice of the time and place of this meeting on the City Clerk’s bulletin board and by mailing a copy of the same to The Herald, The Press and Wildwood Leader on January 6, 2010.” ROLL CALL: Present were Mayor William Henfey, President of Council Patrick Rosenello, Councilpersons Robert McCullion, Joseph Duncan, Edwin Koehler, Robert Maschio, Kellyann Tolomeo and Richard Ogen. Also present were City Administrator Raymond Townsend, Solicitor William Kaufmann and Engineer Ralph Petrella. MINUTES: On a motion by Tolomeo, seconded by McCullion, that the minutes of the regular meeting of May 18, 2010 and the special meeting of May 25, 2010 be approved as read. Carried. COMMUNICATIONS:

On a motion by Ogen, seconded by Duncan, that the above correspondence be received and filed. Carried.

CAROL BERARDO RE: Resignation from Zoning Board of Adjustment

On a motion by Ogen, seconded by Duncan, that the above correspondence be received with regret and filed. Carried.

VAN NOTE HARVEY ASSOCIATES RE: 3rd Avenue Bulkhead Extension License

On a motion by Ogen, seconded by Duncan, that the above correspondence be received and filed. Carried.

COUNCIL:

COUNCILMAN DUNCAN stated that it was a very busy Memorial Day weekend.

COUNCILMAN MASCHIO stated that many merchants have told him that they had the best Memorial Day weekend in 4 or 5 years and we hope the nice weather continues into June. Maschio exhorted all to visit the newly dedicated Vietnam Memorial Wall in Wildwood.

COUNCILMAN McCULLION recognized the VFW and other organizations for the memorial ceremonies over the holiday.

COUNCILMAN KOEHLER thanked all department heads for doing a good job over the holiday weekend.

MAYOR HENFEY invited all to visit the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Wildwood. Henfey thanked all department heads for their hard work over the weekend and reminded everyone of the upcoming events in the City, including the Elks Parade, the Beach Writer’s Conference, the American Legion Parade and the Mummer Brigade Weekend.

PUBLIC:

EVERETT MCCORKELL, 410 E. 13th Avenue, asked when the sign will be replaced at 13th & Surf. Public Works Superintendent Wozunk will look into it. McCorkell asked that a trash can be placed at 5th & New Jersey Avenues. McCorkell asked if the rumor is true that more sand will be pumped onto the beach, with Rosenello answering yes.

RICK LOPES, 402 E. 13th Avenue, congratulated the City and Public Works Department for having won the vote for best beaches in New Jersey.

On a motion by Duncan, seconded by McCullion, that there being no further business before Council, we do now adjourn. Carried. 7:20 P.M.
