Our ‘My Life my Choice’ project involves us delivering a range of health and wellbeing activities to support and enrich the lives of the participants. Activities are delivered and targeted at individuals with supported needs and aids their personal transition to a more inclusive lifestyle.

Core activities on offer include, IT Support, arts n crafts, pool, table tennis, badminton, football, Wii games console, Karaoke and X-Box games consoles. We also offer varied activities aimed at progressing individual’s skills such as Health and Beauty, Dance and Aerobic sessions, photography, Glitter Glass and a Get Cooking programme.

Our programme also offers support in and around the workplace. Under 12’s Youth Clubs Activities take place on a Monday evening 6pm – 8pm for children from Primary 3 to Primary 7and on Saturday night’s 5.30pm – 7.15pm for children from primary 1 to primary 7. Activities include arts n crafts, pool, table tennis, badminton, football, Wii, X-Box games consoles, IT suite, karaoke and dancing.

Over the course of the year we also source many other initiatives for our young people to take part in. Some highlights included being guest of the Kano Foundation at Celtic Park for a home match, guests of Virgin Media at a Digital Inclusion activity as part of the Commonwealth Games. We also operate a much enjoyed School Summer Holiday Programme. This year trips included Summerlee Heritage Park, Calderglen Country Park, Pollok Country Park, Drumpellier Park and a final week treat of attending Heads of Ayr Farm Park. Over 12s Youth Activities

Our activities take place on a Wednesday Night 6pm – 9pm, Friday Night 6pm – 9pm & Saturday Night 7.30pm – 9pm. During these evenings we offer many forms of support to the young people and a diverse range of activities aimed at increasing the health and wellbeing, life skills and educational attainment of our young people. Opportunities and skills include a Get Cooking programme, Cycling at the Velodrome, Creative Art Project and Anti Bullying training.

We offer peer mentoring opportunities for our young people to support our younger age groups, the opportunity to take part in Dynamic Youth and Youth Achievement Awards and more recently Duke of Edinburgh Awards. The young people also have a wide choice of activities to participate each night, wither be chilling in the Chill Out room or being active in the hall or playing on the games consoles , there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Our football team is now in its 10th season, many of our players have been with the squad since they were 8 years old and now playing under 19’s. The team are registered with the SYFA and play in the Glasgow and District Youth Football League on Sunday’s. They train at Stepford on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s.

Play on Pedals

Easthall Residents Association is delighted to participate with CTC Scotland – the National Cycling Charity and the Glasgow Bike Station to deliver a community “Play on Pedals” programme. The “Play on Pedals” programme is part of the Commonwealth legacy and has the purpose of giving every 4 year old in Glasgow the opportunity to ride a bike before starting school. CTC Scotland and the Glasgow Bike Station have donated bikes to Easthall Residents Association. The Association will train their own staff and volunteers to deliver the programme, as well as supporting local nursery staff become instructors to widen and increase the scope of the initiative. Play on Pedals will take place on Friday afternoons – 4pm – 5.30pm & Saturday mornings – 10am – 1pm.

The Glenburn Centre – The Perfect Venue

Over the course of the past year our centre has hosted many events on behalf of many organisations. Our facility offers a fantastic range of services which allows you to tailor a package that suits your needs. With an on-site catering facility, projector, projector screens, large and small size meeting/break off rooms and an IT suite, there is something to suit all.
