BRIGHTON PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA OPEN REHEARSAL FOR SCHOOLCHILDREN

SUNDAY 14TH FEBRUARY 2016 - 10.30AM

BRIGHTON DOME CONCERT HALL, CHURCH ROAD, BRIGHTON, BN1 1UE

10.30AM Please gather in the Dome Foyer Café-bar by 10.00am to be escorted to your seats

Order of rehearsal: 10.30am RIMSKY-KORSAKOV Scheherazade [41 mins] 11.30am BERLIOZ/WEBER Spectre de la Rose/Invitation to the Dance [19 mins] MASCAGNI Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana [3 mins] Rehearsal break approximately 12.00 noon 12.15pm CHOPIN Piano Concerto No.2 (soloist Melvyn Tan) [30 mins]

Please enter via the entrance in Church Road. Doors will open at 10.00am.

A representative of the BPO will welcome you in the Dome Foyer Café-bar from 10.00am where light refreshments will be on sale throughout the day.

The rehearsal will last from 10.30am-1.30pm with a 15 minute break scheduled around 12noon. Scheherazade will be the first piece rehearsed, from 10.30-11.30am approximately. If you wish to leave the rehearsal please wait for an appropriate break.

Please note that David Gerrard, our professional photographer, will be taking photographs during the rehearsal for BPO publicity purposes.

PLEASE NOTE: . Children will be supervised once checked in for the duration of the rehearsal . Unaccompanied children should ONLY be collected from the auditorium, not the Foyer. .
