The University of Iowa department of Facilities Management is seeking a Security Systems Engineer to manage installation and integration projects for security management systems on our campus, primarily video surveillance and intrusion detection systems. This position will work with Facilities Management, Department of Public Safety, and departmental staff to determine and implement surveillance and intrusion detection systems, including camera locations, sensor locations and software access rights, and provide training on software systems.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 1 to 3 years of experience with building security systems (door access or video management system).
