Alpine Volunteer Jobs to Be Done

Floor Hockey Competition ‘Fans in the Stands’/Breakdown Volunteer Information *Please send a copy of your driver’s license (front & back) or any valid photo identification to Lauren Maneri ([email protected]) by February 10th

10:30 am competition will begin. Feel free to arrive at any time. Breakdown can happen as early at 2:00 pm. Please help assist with the breakdown of the floor hockey courts if your schedule permits.

Location: Stewart Air National Guard One Maguire Way Newburgh, NY 12550

Parking: Please enter through the main entrance gate and follow signs. If you have sent your photo ID to Special Olympics, you will be directed to the “pre screened” check in booth. You must have a valid photo ID with you or you will not be permitted inside the military base. Please plan extra time to get into the floor hockey facility. Parking will be limited, please carpool if possible.

Once you arrive at the competition site, you will need to check in at the volunteer registration table. If your name is not on the volunteer registration check in sheets, please fill out your contact information in the volunteer sign-in sheets

Please look for the Fan Stations. Here, you can make posters with various supplies to cheer on our athletes throughout competition.

If you have any questions please look for the Volunteer Captains, who will be wearing green vests.

LUNCH is NOT provided- please bring a bag lunch with you or lunch will be available for purchase from venue concession stands.

**Please know that you are here to volunteer with the Special Olympics NY floor hockey competition. You are not permitted to wander around to any other facilities on the military base.

Remember to HAVE FUN and CHEER as loud as you can!! Our athletes work very hard to get to State Games!
