My Wife of 36 Years, Judy, and I Still Have Our Home in Sioux Falls, SD

Roger Rae

I can’t believe it’s been 40 years since we graduated from Redfield High. My mind hasn’t changed but my body does protest more then it used to. My wife of 36 years, Judy, and I still have our home in Sioux Falls, SD. Judy has just retired after 37 years of teaching and is looking forward to a less stressful existence. Our two kids, Nicolas and Alexis, have moved on to make their own lives. Nicolas is a manufacturing engineer for Twin City Fan, works in Elkton, SD, and has a home in Dell Rapids with his Yorkie, Dexter. Alexis is a doctor presently starting the second year in her pediatric residency at Northwestern Children’s Hospital in Chicago, IL. She and her husband Josh, live in Lincoln Square in Chicago. Josh is attending Garrett Theological Seminary in Evanston, IL, (never thought I’d have a minister in the family). I am still in the medical field, however no longer dealing with patients and doctors. I presently own my own company, “Mobile Resources, Inc.”, which provides mobile medical diagnostic imaging clinics. I also buy and sell used medical equipment. I do not have any immediate plans to retire, but with the state of the economy and the cost of fuel, I may have that decision made for me. Regrets I don’t have, as life has been good to me. I do wish I had remained in closer contact with my many friends from Redfield. Perhaps the second half of my life will allow for this to be corrected. See you on the Fourth!
