Peter Kreeft, Ph.D.
A full-time professor of philosophy at Boston College since 1965, Peter Kreeft is one of the most popular and widely ready Christian authors of today. He is regular contributor to various Christian publications, and a sought-after public speaker at conferences nationwide.
Kreeft is author of over 45 books (most published by Ignatius Press) that have covered a vast array of subjects – from angels and demons and heaven and hell, to defending Christian beliefs, understanding suffering, morality, philosophy, life on earth, and God.
Recently, Mr. Kreeft completed a 900+ page novel after 18 years’ work on it.
He admits to having a great love for teaching and philosophizing, and describes himself as “conservative by temperament as well as conviction.”
Prior to his longtime tenure at Boston College, Professor Kreeft taught at Villanova University for four years. He is an alumnus of Calvin College (A.B., 1959) and Fordham University (M.A., 1961, Ph.D., 1965). He is married with four children, and four grandchildren “so far,” and says he “of course has learned infinitely more from them than from books.”
Mr. Kreeft’s books published by Ignatius Press include:
