The Valley Running Club was officially established in May 2006 and is a non- profit running corporation. The running clubs’ founding members Dr. Mike Palermo, Daniel O’Donnell, Mike Brandtmeier, and Dino Oberto bring many years of running and fitness experience to the organization. Our goal is to promote and assist members and guests to enjoy running and walking as a lifetime fitness activity. The Valley Running Club (VRC) sponsors the Valley Great 8 mile run held in late spring. Proceeds from the (VG8) help fund the Valley Food Pantry. The VRC also plans to hold a 5k run/walk in the fall of the year. Other exciting events are to be planned upon the rise of the VRC……

I know that running and volunteering to work Valley Running Club (VRC) activities are potentially hazardous activities. I should not enter and run/walk in VRC activities unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely participate in an event. I assume all risks associated with my participation in VRC activities including, but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather including high heat and/or humidity, the condition of the road and traffic on the course, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, and in consideration of your acceptance of my application for membership, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Valley Runners Club, Inc. and all Sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in these VRC activities even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver.
