Important Reminder to BBA(Law)&LLB/BBA(Law) Students with a Professional Core in Accounting (2014-15 intake and thereafter): HKICPA Requirement for Application of CPA Qualification Programme (QP) – Completion of BUSI3803 or LLAW3015
As advised by the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA), completion of BUSI3803 Company Law or LLAW3015 Company Law is part of the requirements for the application of CPA Qualification Programme (QP) for students of the 2014-15 intake and thereafter. If you would like to undertake QP after graduation, please note that you are required to complete one of the specified courses within your period of study.
To ensure your eligibility for QP application, you are strongly advised to complete either BUSI3803 or LLAW3015, and enroll in one of these courses during the course selection period in August, or during the add/drop period in September/January. BUSI3803 will be regarded as a free elective course (extra credits); whereas LLAW3015 will either be regarded as a free elective course (extra credits) or a Law elective course for Professional Core in Law/Major in Legal Studies (for those who opt-out of LLB), as appropriate. In case BUSI3803 or LLAW3015 is not completed upon graduation, HKICPA may put your QP admission on hold and impose extra requirement on your application. Please take note that Law subjects* taken during exchange are NOT considered to have met the HKICPA requirement.
