Section 713110 of the 1976 Code, as last amended 28 by Act 53 of 2001, is further amended to read: 29 30 “Section 713110. (A) All managers of election for the various 31 polling places in the State must be residents and registered electors 32 of the respective counties in which they are appointed to work or 33 in an adjoining county. Any A person at least sixteen years of age 34 who has completed the training required by Section 71372 and 35 who is not otherwise disqualified by law may be appointed as a 36 poll manager’s assistant by the appropriate county election 37 commission. Any A sixteen or seventeenyearold appointed as a 38 poll manager’s assistant may not serve as chairman of the 39 managers or clerk in the polling place to which he or she is 40 appointed. Sixteen and seventeenyearolds must serve under 41 supervision of the chairman of the managers of the polling place, 42 and their specific duties must be prescribed by the county election

One sixteen or seventeenyearold assistant poll 2 manager may be appointed for every two regular poll managers 3 appointed to work in any a precinct. 4 (B) An individual who serves as a poll manager, assistant poll 5 manager, or poll worker is entitled to be compensated in an 6 amount not less than fifteen dollars an hour while: 7 (1) attending the compulsory elections training program 8 required pursuant to Section 71372; and 9 (2) working the day prescribed by law to conduct general 10 elections .” 11 12 SECTION 2.
