Question by Jacob Arney on April minutes concerning 5th & 6th grade boys’ basketball. Minutes stated they were $247.74 in the red. However, the Basketball Fund (5th & 6th) for April reported a balance of $837.00. Supt. Rogers will check on this and report to the Board in June.

Question by Jacob Arney concerning Ameren High School bill. Larry Norton will check with Sycamore.

Report made by Supt. Rogers on the Catastrophic Insurance addition. It only covers coma and paralysis. A motion to approve student insurance without catastrophic cash option additional coverage was made by Lowry, seconded by Norton. Lynn Huber is requesting to take Special Ed class at EIU-class #5675. The class started on May 12. She is requesting to use the request as graduate credit. Heritage Committee is requesting to use the gymnasium as a backup site on June 10, 11, & 12.

Fifth grade students took the Science Assessment, also 8th grade and Biology students.

Discussion held on proposal by H.S. Football program to have the JFL program to conduct practice at the elementary. The area at the Elementary needs to be leveled. Maintenance Committee will look at the field at the elementary.

Elementary School Projects were discussed. Maintenance Committee is to meet and bring a recommendation to the Board on the practice field and the PTO House/Field.

Motion made by Norton, seconded by Arney to select First Midstate, Inc. as Underwriter/Placement agent and Chapman and Cutler LLP as Bond/Disclosure Counsel to the Underwriter/Placement Agent with respect to the District’s General Obligation Refunding School Bonds Series 2016. Advised Supt. Rogers to continue to research Constellation contract or contact other providers.

Authorized Supt. Rogers to meet with MSB Transportation in regard to Bus contract for 2016/2017.

Cafeteria audit this week went well.

Presentation made by Vickie Norton on Common Core Grade Report for 4th grade for 2016- 2017.

Martinsville on the Move purchased Leap Frog Video for each kindergarten student.

Marathon gave elementary $500 for Health Body and Health Run.
