Boston Massacre: Slogans Instead of Snowballs

Imagine that the citizens of Boston had carried signs with slogans on them instead of verbally taunting the British soldiers and then throwing snowballs at them. Create two different signs with slogans showing the colonists discontent with the British soldiers, King George III, and Parliament (Refer to your notes or chapter 5 in your textbook for ideas). Make sure your slogans are specific, relevant, and demonstrate an understanding of the colonist’s discontent.

Please read the rubric on the reverse side of this paper for a clear understanding of the expectations for this project.

 Your slogan must be original. Therefore, you can’t use “No taxation without representation.”

 Your slogan must target a specific British action, policy, or Act.

 Your poster should be creative and colorful.

 All spelling, capitalization, and punctuation rules must be followed.
