Public information and discussion meetings set for South Dallas/Fair Park Trust Fund grant applications

What: Community organizations that qualify for funding from the South Dallas/Fair Park Trust Fund are invited to submit proposals for funding from February 23 to April 17, 2015 at 4 p.m. Applicants can place proposals in one of three categories:

1) Community-Based Non-Profit Grant: This grant is for agencies that have been designated as a 501 © (3) by the IRS. Maximum grant amount is $35,000 per year per organization (total awards per grantee may not exceed $75,000 or three years of funding whichever comes first).

2) Challenge Grant: Any non-profit community based organization may apply for this grant. The maximum grant amount is $5,000.

3) Public Safety Grant: Any non-profit community based organization may apply for this grant. The maximum amount is $10,000. Public Safety Projects must directly relate to an aspect of crime prevention or abatement.

Public meetings will be held to discuss particular aspects of eligibility and application for annual grants, which are open to the public with accessible parking. Grant applications may be picked up at the South Dallas/Fair Park Trust Fund office, 2922 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Building A, Suite 132, Dallas, TX 75215, from Feb. 23 to April 17, 2015.
