Criteria for Leas to Receive Title I-A Reallocated Funds

2015-16 CRITERIA FOR LEAS TO RECEIVE TITLE I-A REALLOCATED FUNDS

 Requests are limited up to 50% of the district’s prior year allocation, but no more than $50,000.  Please email the completed form to Elmira Feather at [email protected] no later than January 30, 2016. There will be no exceptions to this deadline.  LEAs that are approved for reallocated funds will have to revise their 2015-16 CFSGA, including the allocation to schools tab.

Additional consideration will be given to LEA’s with the greatest need. To determine severity of need, the following criteria will be used:

 LEAs that demonstrate an increase in their low-income poverty population.  Briefly explain how the low-income poverty population has changed in the district/school(s) over the last couple of years.  LEAs that have documented a need for additional funds to complete the current year program.  LEAs needing additional funds to expand the current year Title I-A program to include un-served eligible children.  LEAs needing additional funds to provide an additional component for students already being served.  LEAs with no little/carry-over from the previous year.  If the LEA does have a carry-over balance from 2014-15, identify this carry-over amount (should match carry-over amount in the 15-16 CFSGA).  If the LEA does have a carry-over balance, briefly explain why these carry-over funds are not being used to fund this request.

Additional consideration will be given to LEA’s with:

 No remaining 2013 funds  Little/No carryover of 2014-15 funds  An approved CFSGA for 2015-16 TITLE I-A REQUEST FOR REALLOCATED FUNDS
