It has since 24 expanded and now includes more than four hundred children and 25 teens in neighboring cities; and 26 27 Whereas, the organization initially was established to teach 28 children ages five through twelve to share the Gospel; to promote 29 discipline, unity, and positive attitudes and relationships; and to 30 usher in God’s presence through the songs learned at music 31 workshops and rehearsals; and 32 33 Whereas, through various workshops, concerts, rehearsals, and live 34 music recordings, PureNHeart has established and maintained a 35 consistent presence in the community for the past nine years. 36 Aware of a growing need for positive youth and children’s music 37 in churches and the community, PureNHeart Kids is filling a need 38 by staying true to its goal to gather youth together to sing, produce, 39 and release positive music; and 40 41 Whereas, the organization’s directors and volunteers take 42 advantage of every rehearsal, concert, and workshop to teach and

[1603] 2 1 admonish the children to have pure hearts, which means they will 2 strive to have positive attitudes and relationships, obey their 3 parents, say no to drugs, choose good friends, and profess that they 4 will not become negative statistics; and 5 6 Whereas, PureNHeart Kids hopes to be remembered for more than 7 awards and accolades and music listened to around the world; it 8 desires to be known for challenging the negative world culture and 9 pulling youth out of a cultural burning building; and 10 11 Whereas, grateful for PureNHeart Kids’ commitment to its 12 important ministry, the Senate takes great pleasure in saluting the 13 organization for its longtime positive impact on youth through 14 Gospel music and teaching. Now, therefore, 15 16 Be it resolved by the Senate: 17 18 That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, 19 recognize and commend PureNHeart Kids on the occasion of its 20 CD Release and DVD Premiere Red Carpet Event, to be held on 21 June 16, 2012, and thank the organization for its nine years of 22 changing the lives of youth through Kingdom praise music. 23 24 Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be provided to 25 PureNHeart Kids. 26 XX 27
