You are hereby summoned to the meeting of the Recreation Youth and Environment Committee (RYE) to be held in the Village Hall (Parish Room) on Thursday 13th November 2014 at 7:30pm. The first ten minutes are available for the public or press who have a right to express a view or ask a question on relevant matters on the following agenda. The public are welcome to stay and observe the rest of the meeting.

1. Attendance and Apologies for Absence

2. Declaration of Interests and notification of change to members’ interests To receive any disclosure by Members of Interests in matters on the agenda, the nature of the interest and whether the Member regards the interest as pecuniary, prejudicial or personal under the terms of the Revised Code of Conduct adopted at the July 2012 meeting

3. Confirm the appointment of the Chairman for the RYE Committee

4. Approve the minutes of the meeting 20th February 2014

5. Matters arising from item 4 for information only (updates as previously circulated or on the agenda for this meeting) i) The surfacing at KGV has been repaired; ii) The gates at KGV require work.

6. Consider future attendance from sports and community groups at future recreation meetings (Football, Tennis, Cricket, Scouts etc.)

7. Recreation i) Look at the inspection reports for KGV and Six Acres and approve repairs; ii) Consider project to introduce new facilities (play/sports) for ‘older’ children at KGV

8. Youth i) Consider the update from the Community Youth Worker, Dan Fairchild ii) Consider value for money based budgeted costs; iii) Make recommendations as to future requirements.

9. Environment i) Consider the Committees brief on ‘the environment’ and how to incorporate this in future meetings; ii) Look at the provision of more litter bins

10. Date of next meeting(s) i) Agree the frequency of meeting schedule for 2015
