NOTICE OF CLOSE OF REGISTRATION To the qualified electors of all Cities and Townships in the County of Calhoun, State of Michigan:

Notice is hereby given that a Special Primary Election and Special General Election will be held on, Tuesday, August 4, 2009. The last day on which persons may register with the appropriate City or Township Clerk in order to be eligible to vote at the Election is: TUESDAY, JULY 7, 2009.

“ Persons entitled to be registered voters in the County of Calhoun must possess the following qualification on or before the day of the Election: 1) a citizen of the United States; 2) not less than 18 years of age; 3) a resident of the State of Michigan and the local municipality for not less than 30 days prior to the Election (MCL 168.492). In addition, qualified electors must be registered to vote not less than 30 days prior to the Election(MCL 168.497).”

Persons registering after 5:00 p.m. are not eligible to vote at said election. Persons planning to register should read the information listed within regarding where said Clerk will be and hours of operation on said last day of operation. Shall the City of Albion grant the Christ Apostolic Church, after receiving a necessary variance from the Sign Board of Appeals and an affirmative vote of at least 5 members of the council, a license to use part of Crowell Park to erect and maintain a sign?
