Brent and Harrow Netball League

Dear Back to Netballer, As a Back to Netball participant I am delighted to inform you that you are invited to join the Brent and Harrow Back to Netball League. Across Brent and Harrow there are no other competitive opportunities in netball for netball clubs or Back to Netballers meaning that people have to travel or they are missing out on that next step. This is the first winter season of the League and we are very excited that we have Back to Netball on offer. Competition is the next stepping stone in a Back to Netballers netball journey. The Brent and Harrow Netball League Back to Netball Division will provide the Back to Netball groups that have worked hard and learnt new skills to put them into practice in fun, social competition. Matches will run from September to March, (having a break through December and January because of the weather) and players will be required to play matches every to every other week, and so player commitment is essential for league and team success. In addition to the match play opportunities, you will receive support from England Netball to transform your Back to Netball group into a fully functioning club. Including advice on committees, CAPS, how to find funding to get your club started, getting your volunteers qualified and much, much more. To play competitively you are required to be affiliated to England Netball, affiliation includes information how to set up a team or club, where your local leagues are, new coaching and umpiring courses and funding, Personal Accident Insurance to cover you when you participate in England Netball Back to Netball sessions and Back to Netball festivals and leagues, and you will receive the quarterly ‘Netball’ magazine. Members are also offered cheaper rates to attend England Netball coaching and umpiring courses and get exclusive deals from our partners. Prior to competing in the league you will be required to affiliate to England Netball which costs just £30.30 for the year. Please see attached to find out how to affiliate. There is a league entry fee of £250, this covers the venue hire and cost of umpires for the entire Winter season, with no additional payments after this initial lump sum. This may sound a lot, but when you break it down for example: 10 players sign up, £25 per player, 10 games, that is just £2.50 per game, bargain! The Brent and Harrow Netball League matches will be played at a central venue based at JFS, The Mall, Kenton. Matches will be played on a Tuesday evening with games starting at 7.15 or 8.15pm Please discuss with your fellow Back to Netballers. If you are interested in entering the league please fill out the attached form (1 per team), affiliation forms (1 per person) and return with your league entry and affiliation fees to: Fixtures and Results Secretary, Tracy-Ann McClymont 73 Furness Road, Harlesden, London NW10 5UJ. Please make cheques payable to Brent and Harrow Back to Netball League or payment can be made by bank transfer (two separate payments per team one league and one affiliations) to Brent & Harrow B2 Netball League Account number 12981668 Sort Code 30-15- 93.

If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to ask. Yours in Netball, Adele Burnett and the Brent and Harrow League Committee England Netball Netball Development Community Coach Brent and Harrow
