2. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY IN AREA The Optium Xceed blood ketone meter is used with ketone control solutions and capillary blood to monitor blood ketone levels.

5. POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS The test strips are not considered hazardous in the unused condition. When they are used with a specimen which is human source material they will become potentially infectious.

10. CURRENT DISPOSAL ARRANGEMENTS Unused test strips may be disposed of in black domestic waste bins. Used test strips should be disposed of in a yellow clinical waste bin. Lancet devices used to collect capillary sample should be disposed of in a sharps bin. Unused control solution should be flushed down sink with water.
