Information for Delegates
Conference Rooms
The conference will take place in the O’ Rahilly Building, UCC. The conference rooms are 1.56 and 1.32, both on the first floor, outside the Department of English Main Office.

Buses:
The no. 5 bus runs every 15 minutes from the stops on College Road to the City Centre and Kent Train Station. A single journey will cost you €1.35.
See attached timetable for the Air Coach Service to Cork Airport, which leaves from Parnell Place in the City Centre.
For the Shannon Airport Air Coach (see attached timetable) you must get the Galway Bus, which stops in Shannon.
Eating on Campus
The following are recommended for lunch:
Student Centre (Áras na Mac Leinn) – just across campus next to the chapel. Has a bar, which serves hot meals, and two cafes which serve soup and freshly made sandwiches Java City – just downstairs from the conference rooms. Has specialty teas and coffees, and cakes, pastries and sandwiches. The Glucksman Gallery Cafe – On the main thoroughfare that runs down to Western Road – cafe is in the basement of the gallery. Serves three course meals and soups. Coffee Station – At the main college gates, Western Road. A huge selection of wraps, baguettes, quiches, paninos and soups. The Main Restaurant – Situated next to the Library on Campus. Serves hot meals and salads.
Supermarkets and Stores
There are two small shops on campus; one in the Student Centre and one next to the main restaurant. The shops stock snacks, sandwiches, drinks and cigarettes, and some toiletries and cosmetics. There is a stationery store, also in the Student Centre, which carries most of the daily Irish and U.K. newspapers, and some international press. The stationery store also has gifts. There is a larger supermarket located on Bandon Road, just a five minute walk from Campus. The Glucksman Gallery also has a gift store and bookshop.

Amicus (April 18th 8.30 pm) (No. 1 on map)
Walk from UCC down Washington Street towards City Centre. At intersection of Washington Street and Grand Parade, turn left until you reach Waterstone’s. Turn left at Bank, pass church on right and turn right onto Paul Square. Amicus is on the right opposite Tesco’s.
The Four Liars Bistro (April 19th 8.30pm) (No. 2 on map)
Walk from UCC down Washington Street towards City Centre. Turn left onto North Main Street before reaching Grand Parade. Continue down North Main Street past The Gate cinema, onto the North Gate Bridge. Continue straight up the hill onto Shandon Street. Restaurant situated near the Cork Butter Exchange, near the famous "Bells of Shandon" that are in St. Anne's Cathedral.
