OUTING CLASS BIKE TRIP Iron Horse Trail Through the Snoqualmie Train Tunnel, October 7, 2017

BACKGROUND: On Saturday, October 7, the NWS outing program will be taking a day bicycle trip on the Iron Horse Trail that follows a former railroad grade up to and through Snoqualmie Pass. The trail passes through a two-mile tunnel under the mountains at Snoqualmie Pass. This trip is designed so that both novice and experienced riders can come out and enjoy this unique setting and can choose what length ride to do in the time allotted. The trail itself is relatively flat, following the railroad grade, so the riding is not difficult.

PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION BELOW ABOUT THE GEAR REQUIRED TO DO THIS RIDE SAFELY AND ENJOYABLY.

WHEN: Saturday, October 7: Meet in the school lot by 8:00 A.M. to check bikes before departing. We'll depart from school about 8:30 A.M. We'll return to school at about 6:00 P.M.

Please arrange a prompt pick-up from the school, as a faculty member must remain with the student(s) until they are picked up.

COST: $10.00 per person to help cover transportation costs. (We'll be using the school bus to get out of the city.) Each participant should also bring a sack lunch.
