Page 3 of 6 Part 3- Set up details

If this podcast is approved we will need various information in order to set it up. Most of this is metadata which will appear alongside your podcast through syndication partners, while other boxes below will help us implement the podcast on bbc.co.uk. It’s important to be as accurate as possible in this section. Tips are provided in italics.

Podcast type The contents of your podcast will affect how you add it in iBroadcast and therefore how we set it up. Please answer the following questions to establish what type of podcast you are creating.

Type 1 Type 2 1. Is your podcast a complete Whole Highlights programme of a highlight package? programme Whole programmes include programmes where the only edits you have made are to remove copyright material (incl. music) 2. If all your answers were in the Type 1 column your podcast is defined as a Whole Programme podcast. This means your podcast series will sit in your broadcast brand page and will inherit the metadata from there (and the episodes will inherit the metadata from the broadcast episode). N.B. The RSS feed will use the medium description.

For this type of podcast series you need to complete sections a, b, f, g, h, j in the form below.

When requesting images you will only need to provide a 1:1 image (3000x3000px with podcast name and network logo on it.)

If any of your answers were in the Type 2 column your podcast series is defined as a Highlights podcast series. This is a podcast series that contains highlights from one or more episode, series that contain programmes from multiple brands or a series that doesn’t have a broadcast page in /programmes (foreign language or non-tx series). These require a new series page to be set up. For this type of podcast series you need to complete all the questions in the form below:
