-ER verbs

The conjugation of –er verbs is very similar to –ar verbs, except you have some new endings to memorize.

Example: Comer For the tú form, I will drop the –er and add –es.  tú comes

Other –er verbs are: leer, beber, correr, comprender, vender

Here are the rest of the endings for –er verbs:

I or Yo  o We or Nosotros  emos

You or Tú  es You all or Vosotros  éis

He or Él  e They or Ellos (boys)  en She or Ella  e They or Ellas (girls)  en You or Ud. (formal)  e You guys or Uds.  en

-IR verbs

Verbs that end in the letters “ir” are very similar to –er verbs, they even share some of the same endings, so they should be easy to learn.

Some examples of – ir verbs are: escribir, compartir, abrir, vivir, recibir

You or Tú  es You all or Vosotros  ís

He or Él  e They or Ellos (boys)  en She or Ella  e They or Ellas (girls)  en You or Ud. (formal)  e You guys or Uds.  en
