12:30-8:00 - Registration in Health Science Building Welcome Center, Main Campus, Northwestern Michigan College
12:30-4:30 – Pearson Publishing “Innovations in Teaching: Biological Sciences and Anatomy & Physiology (Registration required at http://www.pearsonhighered.com/myevents/nmc ) 12:30-1:30 - Lunch and Welcome 2:00-3:00 - “Mastering Biology” or “Mastering A&P” (Dr. Stephanie Baiyasi) 3:30-4:30 – Panel Discussion
1:00-6:00 - Main campus and science lab tours.
6:00 – Dinner at Health Science Welcome Center
7:30-9:00 – Keynote Address by Dr. James Gillingham, Central Michigan University, Biological Research Station, Beaver Island (Retired). Topic will be research on the New Zealand reptile, tuatara. Tuatara have been referred to as living fossils, which means their group retains many basal characteristics from around the time of the squamate - rhynchocephalian split (220 MYA).
Saturday October 23 – All activities today are at the Hagerty Center, Great Lakes Campus of NMC. Enter parking lot at traffic light at Front St. and Barlow. Enter through main doors in front of building. Check the directions and map link to locate the Hagerty Center on the Great Lakes Campus
