The Fundraising and Marketing team plays a key role in Mercy Corps, generating income and raising profile. Our corporate partnerships strategy is key to generating income and building on our global strategy of corporate partnership and collaboration. This is pivotal to the success of not only the Fundraising and Marketing team but the organisation as a whole.

Overall Purpose of the Post

The Corporate Partnerships Manager will develop and implement the Corporate Fundraising strategy with the Director of Fundraising at an exciting phase in the development of fundraising at an innovative INGO. S/he will be responsible for securing and developing relationships with new corporate partners as well as the successful management of existing corporate partnerships. The post holder will work with colleagues in the UK, at our Global HQ and with colleagues and partners in the field to develop new business and build long term, productive relationships with a portfolio of supporters through a personal and professional approach. Main Duties and Responsibilities  To develop and implement corporate fundraising strategy to increase income for Mercy Corps.  To secure and develop relationships with new corporate partners as well as the successful management of existing corporate partnerships.  To raise and build Mercy Corps status and reputation among key audiences in order to secure support.  To identify, build and secure opportunities to increase corporate income and donors.  To work with colleagues in the UK, at our Global HQ and with colleagues and partners in the field to develop new business and build long term, productive relationships.  To work closely with colleagues in the Fundraising team to identify opportunities, build partnerships, leverage interest, secure corporate support and effectively steward donors.  To write and deliver compelling proposals and presentations to secure support and build partnerships.  To develop and manage a portfolio of corporate supporters ensuring accurate and up to date information and moves management is recorded on Raisers Edge.  To prepare reports for the Director of Fundraising, Board and other key stakeholders as required.  To stay current on best practices in fundraising strategies and innovations.  To develop, with Director of Fundraising, expenditure and income projections and budget and be responsible for managing, achieving and reporting financial status.

Other Responsibilities  To actively consider our stakeholders and beneficiaries in all areas of practice and to implement MCS and Institute of Fundraising best practice guidelines and policy.  To observe all health and safety requirements.  To travel overseas and to the field on occasions.  Any other duties as assigned
