Gaffney: 3 ORDINANCE 2016-74 4 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $10,000.00 FROM A 5 DESIGNATED SPECIAL COUNCIL CONTINGENCY TO 2016-74.tif 6 PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE’S 7 CONTRIBUTION TO THE JACKSONVILLE BLACK CHAMBER 8 OF COMMERCE FOR ITS MARKETING BUDGET, AS 9 APPROVED IN ORDINANCE 2015-504; PROVIDING AN 10 EFFECTIVE DATE. 11 12 WHEREAS, the Council approved an amendment to Ordinance 2015- 13504-E, the City’s annual budget ordinance, on September 21, 2015, 14which appropriated $10,000 to the Jacksonville Black Chamber of

15Commerce; and 16 WHEREAS, the appropriation was conditioned upon the use of the 17funding being approved by the Council in future action; and 18 WHEREAS, the Black Chamber of Commerce has provided a summary 19of the intended use of the appropriation as provided herein in 20Exhibit 1 attached hereto and seeks the final approval of Council; 21now therefore 22 BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Jacksonville: 23 Section 1. Appropriation. For the 2015-2016 fiscal year, 24within the City’s budget, there are hereby appropriated the 25indicated sum(s) from the account(s) listed in subsection (a) to 26the account(s) listed in subsection (b): 27 (a) Appropriated from: 28 Designated Special Council Contingency 29 JXRS011CCBCC 09910 $10,000.00 30 2 1 (b) Appropriated to: 2 Dues Subscriptions and Memberships 3 JXMA011MAMD 05402 $10,000.00 4 Section 2. Purpose. The purpose of the appropriation in 5Section 1 above is to provide funding from the City of Jacksonville 6to the Jacksonville Black Chamber of Commerce to be used 7exclusively by the Jacksonville Black Chamber of Commerce for the 8following uses: communications, annual educational membership 9breakfast, website, membership workshops and marketing/membership 10campaign consistent with the Marketing Budget Worksheet attached 11hereto as Exhibit 1 and incorporated herein by reference. 12 Section 3. Effective Date.
