Volunteer role description eLearning Developer This is an outline of what your role with the Society may involve. You will have the opportunity to discuss this in more detail.

Where, when and how often? This role is based in our Central London Office or you have the option of volunteering remotely. We are looking for volunteers who are able to volunteer regularly on an ongoing basis for at least three months and there is some flexibility – so please contact us to discuss this further.

How does the role make a difference? For our employees and volunteers to be able to make their best contribution to our vision of a world without dementia, they need the right skills and knowledge. Our eLearning system is one of our key learning and development tools.

Developing our new content and reviewing and updating our current content is crucial to the success of our eLearning offer and this role will be instrumental in that success.

What will I be doing? Activities will include some of the following:

 Maintain our eLearning content development plan

Working with subject matter experts to:  Review current eLearning content  Update current eLearning content  Develop and pilot new eLearning content  Evaluate the impact of our eLearning content

Is this role for me?

The role may be ideal for you if you:

 Have experience of designing eLearning  Are studying eLearning design and want to get some experience  Have a good eye for detail  Have good all round IT skills  Have a good standard of verbal and written English

What do I have to do before I can start? Send in a CV and covering letter, provide two references, be invited to an informal discussion about the role and receive an induction before starting.

Page 1 of 2 How will I be supported during my volunteering?  You will receive relevant induction for the role  You will be supported to develop a work plan  You will benefit from ongoing training and other developmental opportunities  You will have access to Alzheimer’s Society’s training and educational resources  You will be provided with one-to-one support  You will be reimbursed your agreed out-of pocket expenses, in accordance with society policy.

Responsible to/local support: You will report directly to the Organisational Development Manager (Performance).
