Job Title Parent Champions Programme Officer (initially 5 month contract) Grade 2 : £24,773 Reports to Programme Manager Relationships Programmes team; other team colleagues; consultants; external partners. Location London Bridge office, or other location as required by the organisation. Role Purpose To assist the Programme Manager and Head of Programmes in delivering high quality programmes for children and families.

Key responsibilities  Supporting the Parent Champions Programme Manager to deliver high quality programmes for children and families.  Contributing to the longer term development of sustainable and effective programmes.  Working to deadlines, and to budget.  Working with external partners

Key tasks  Provide advice and support to local programme delivery partners in the National Network as directed.  Assist with communications to the National Network to ensure information dissemination and local programmes collaboration and partnerships.  Visit National Network local programmes according to the visiting schedule to support Parent Champions coordinators.  Support the processing of new enquiries and local programme applications.  Support the regular monitoring and data collection on the impact of Parent Champions local programmes.  Maintain the training plan, delivering training or liaising with consultants to deliver training to local programmes.  Attend and support the organisation of events such as workshops.  Liaise with graphic designers for the development of programme resources.  Ensure Parent Champions programme information is kept up to date on the Family and Childcare Trust website.  Collate grant applications and process grant paperwork.  Work with the programme budgetary processes.  Contribute to the wider organisational needs of the programmes team as directed.  Assist the programmes team with other tasks as and when they emerge. Person Specification

Knowledge and experience E/D A level qualification or equivalent experience plus work E experience in a relevant area. Excellent organisational skills and experience of managing and E organising partnerships. Proven experience of supporting programmes for children and E families, either in a statutory or voluntary organisation. Experience of supporting and delivering training E Experience of supporting events E Some experience of monitoring and evaluation frameworks. E Experience of carrying out administrative tasks E Understanding of the childcare and family sector E Understanding of local authority structures D Skills and abilities Strong organisational and time management skills. E Excellent diplomatic skills in dealing with a wide range of E external partners. Strong written and oral communication skills. E Flexibility in adapting to different and evolving programmes, and E varying deadlines. Ability to work as part of a tightly knit team and organisation. E Ability to occasionally travel around the country as required. E Ability to work under pressure, and to respond to both short E term and longer term deadlines.
