Can you believe summer is over? Now it is time to come back to school ready to learn, motivated to do your best with a good attitude. BE THE BEST STUDENT YOU CAN BE and good things will come your way.
What is Computer Application? Computer Applications is designed to provide students with basic concepts and skills regarding knowledge of computer operations, responsible use of computers, efficient use of computers to enhance productions and presentations, and use of computers to access information. It is an introductory computer class that you will learn computer terms and concepts, troubleshooting, Internet, and Microsoft Office 2003 (Word, Excel-Spreadsheets, Access-Database, and PowerPoint).
What to expect? 1st Nine weeks: . Microtype Pro (learn how to type) . Computer Concepts and operation . Word processing 2nd Nine weeks: . Multimedia (PowerPoint) . Spreadsheets . Database . Projects
Grades: Daily grade of 1-10 points for Microtype based on correct typing technique and completion of lesson Notes, Vocabulary, Classwork Tests
The Internet will be used in my class periodically. By signing this syllabus you are agreeing to allow your child usage of the Internet. If the computers and Internet are not used properly disciplinary action will be given.
Attendance: All work is done on computers and books can not leave my classroom. Therefore, missed work can not be completed at home. When you miss class it is important that you make arrangements with me to make-up missed work before or after school. It is important for you to be in class everyday.
My goal is for our students to be successful. A way of doing this is to create an open channel of communication between you and me.
