AIR CADET TAGGING – 05-07 May 2017

SITUATION

1. The Parent’s Sponsoring Committee for 62 Phantom Sqn has designated 05-07 May 2017 as the dates where they would like to conduct the fall tagging session to raise funds for 62 sqn in the towns of Grimsby, Lincoln and West Lincoln.

MISSION

2. All staff and cadets from 62 Phantom Sqn will participate in air cadet tagging activities 05-07 May 2017 in the towns of Grimsby, Lincoln and West Lincoln. Cadets are expected to tag a minimum of two shifts on Saturday and Sunday

TIMINGS

3. Timings are as per the schedule below.

a) Time Table for Tagging:

Fri. 05 May 17 - DAY 1 - Level 3 & Sr. Cadets

1800-1815 hrs Arrival of Sr. Cadets and Staff Sqn LHQ, MRCC and Attendance. 1815-2030 hrs Tagging Various venues Grimsby 2030-2100 hrs Cadets return for Closing Parade

Sat. 06 May 17 – Day 2 - Full Sqn.

0830-0900hrs Arrival of cadets and Staff for attendance and tagging assignments at MRCC 0900-1230hrs Morning Tagging - Tagging all cadets various venues in West Niagara 1200-1300hrs Lunch all cadets, rotating in and out. 1300-1700hrs Afternoon Tagging - Tagging all available cadets in various venues in West Niagara. 1700-1730hrs Return to MRCC for dismissal. Sun. 07 May 2017 – Day 3 – Full Sqn

0900-0930hrs Arrival of cadets and Staff for attendance and tagging assignments at MRCC 0930-1230hrs Morning Tagging - Tagging all cadets various venues in West Niagara 1230-1315hrs Lunch all cadets, rotating in and out. 1300-1600hrs Afternoon Tagging - Tagging all available cadets in various venues in West Niagara. 1600-1630hrs Return to MRCC for dismissal

COORDINATING INSTRUCTIONS

4. All Cadets must have the Parent Authorization (See ANNEX A) filled out and brought with them on their first tagging date. All cadets must have a valid health card on their person for inspection.

5. REPORTING PROCEEDURES - On Friday, Level 3, 4, 5 and Senior Cadets are to report to the SQN LHQ for attendance and Tagging assignments NLT 1815hrs. On Sat and Sun all cadets and Staff are to report for the shifts they signed up for at the times indicated above to the Mountain Ridge Community Center for attendance and tagging assignments.

6. Dress for Tagging will be C-2 - full cadet uniforms (ribbons). All Pers should remember to dress warm as it may be cool and you will be outside for most of the day. Cadets need to remember to bring sunscreen with them as they may be in the sun for up to 4 hrs.

7. Parent Drivers / Escorts are required on Sat and Sun. Please let the Parents Sponsoring Committee / Sqn Staff know if you are able to assist. This in one of the most important events for the squadron to raise money for operations in the coming months. Sign up lists are at the squadron on Friday Night.

8. MESSING – Lunch will be provided each day for the cadets by the Squadron Support Committee. Bottle Water will be available to the cadets all day long.

PARENT/GUARDIAN AUTHORIZATION

I, ______, parent/guardian of the following cadets:

Grant permission for them to participate in 62 Phantom Sqn’s Air Cadet Tagging Dates in the towns of Grimsby, Lincoln and West Lincoln from Friday 05 May through to Sunday 07 May 2017.

Should a medical emergency occur, I grant the staff of 62 Sqn to act in the best interest of my child until I can be contacted or arrive at the medical facility.
