Family and friends, Bride & groom have invited you here on this beautiful day to celebrate the creation of a new marriage. In marriage, two individuals unite their lives for all time. They vow to nourish each other in spirit, mind, and body. Marriage thereby gives to us a sense of security so we may manage the sorrow and celebrate the joy that life brings. When two individuals unify their lives, they therefore enter a beautiful, yet solemn commitment to each other.

(Couple turns towards each other and joins hands) There are no obligations on earth sweeter or tender than those you are about to assume. There are no vows more solemn than those you are about to make. There is no human institution more sacred than that of the home you are about to form. True marriage is the holiest of all earthly relationships. The state of matrimony is based in this deep, invisible union of two souls who seek to find completion in one another. Is this your intent? (Respond by saying YES)

I promise to love you without reservation, comfort you in times of distress, encourage you to achieve all of your goals, laugh with you and cry with you, grow with you in mind and spirit, always be open and honest with you, and cherish you for as long as we both shall live.

And now, it is time for bride and groom’s last kiss as singles before they become wife and husband. Bride and her mother (mother’s name) and Groom and his mother (mother’s name), will now offer this kiss.

These mother's lips were the first to kiss them and bring them into this world and today a mother's love - together with their blessings - will be first to send them on their way to their new life together as wife and husband.
