Dear Region 9 Members:

The Racing Rascals Quarter Midget Association is looking forward to hosting the first Region Race of the year on April 25-26th. Please take a few minutes to read over all the information.

Track Location: Exit 34 off I-82 (East or West); head west to S. 18th St, and turn right onto 18th, Go past the Speedway to Gate 12 on the left. Fairgrounds gate 12 will be closed and locked every night at 10pm and reopened as early as possible.

Parking – 2:00pm Thursday:

Non-RRQMA members may park as early as 2:00pm on Thursday. The first row will be for trailers only. If you would like to stay connected, you will need to be at least in second row. Upon arrival, please see Ronnie Anderson or Tony Huffines.

Camping- If you plan on camping at our facility, you will need to pay the $30 camp fee for the weekend. This money goes directly to State Fair Park. You will need to have a camping pass posted. The State Fair Park has strict rules that each and every QMA member or their family and friends to abide by: 1) NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE CONTAINERS, if you plan on drinking you will need to have it in a cup. Security will be walking around all night. If you are caught you will be asked to leave. 2) NO OPEN FLAMES- no propane fires, no camp fires at State Fair Park. Please leave your fire pits at home. Please follow the rules of State Fair Park, by not doing so you are jeopardizing our clubs future. Gates will close at 11:00 PM no in or out.

Practice – Some Open, Some Controlled:

Thursday: Sorry, no practice. RRQMA, we have limited access to our track. Friday: Structured Open Practice 9:00PM – 3:00PM: Practice will begin at 9:00AM. Novice practice: 3:00pm-4:30pm Friday: Controlled Practice 5:00PM -TBD: One round of controlled practice per class will begin at 5:00. As a reminder, to participate in controlled practice each car / driver must complete safety and be signed in.

Safety and Registration:

Safety: Open at 12:00 PM on Friday. Registration: Open Friday from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM and Saturday from 7:00am to 8:00am. Fees are $32.00 per car, Novice $10.00 per car and $10/family for maintenance fees. $30 overnight camping fees for the weekend, this is a set price by the fairgrounds. Please make sure you pick up a camping pass at sign ins. We will send a person around to make sure everyone has paid and put up their camping pass.

Fueling: Fuel will follow Region format: You will be fueling your own cars while a RRQMA member observes, tape and paint will be provided for you to seal, if you would like. Fueling will be allowed, after controlled practice. All cars should arrive to the fueling area with tanks and float bowls empty. Please do not drain on asphalt. Please remember clubs are not required to provide Methanol, you will need to supply your own.

Race Format – Novice Practice/Qualifying/Mains: 8:00am-8:30: Novice Practice. 8:45 am Pit Meeting Qualifying will follow approximately 30 minutes after novice practice is complete. Qualifying order will be determined by pill draw with the lowest number going last for each class. Just a reminder, all 8 laps will be on the clock. Top 4 cars for junior classes and top 5 for seniors will advance from each lower main.

Use of Fun Toys: Use of skateboards, bikes, tricycles, scooters, roller blades, motorized coolers, motorcycles or other recreational vehicles may not be used during our region event. Golf carts limited to licensed adult drivers only. Please also ensure pets are leashed at all times, clean up after your pet. The baseball field and paved parking lot are off limit
