COMMUNITY BASKETBALL LEAGUE MEETING MINUTES January 31, 2010

The meeting was called to order by President Miller at 7:15 p.m. at the Forks Community Center.

Information was provided regarding Lehigh Valley AAU tryouts starting after the CBL season. Contact [email protected] for details.

. Attendance: absentees: Vice-President, Scheduler, Our Lady of PH, Phillipsburg PAL, St. Jane’s, Wind Gap

. Secretary’s Report: The minutes from the previous meeting (January 10, 2010) were approved as presented.

. Treasurer’s Report: previous balance: $ 750.27 Deposits: 1,475.00 Current balance: $2,225.27 .

Reminder: the missed meeting fines are from the 08-09 season.

. Old Business: No press when up by 20 or more points was revisited – requesting a consideration to back up to the 3-point line, not half-court. Will call for requested rule changes by the end of the current season.

. New Business: A request was made to complete all games in a timely manner. February 27 & 28 are scheduled for U15 and U17 division playoffs.

Referee fees were questioned. Fee is $25 (not $60).

If any organization is having technical difficulties entering scores please call Cliff Salvemini. Remember that you need to enter your code in the red box. Send an e-mail to Dennis Nugent immediately if you have a problem so that the error message can be checked while it is occurring.

Organizations/coaches are asked to have exact fee for referees when paying for your scheduled game. Officials do not have change and each need to be paid. Playoffs are scheduled to begin March 20th. Regular season games should be completed by March 17th.

Saturday, March 27th – Girls Final Boys Semifinal

Sunday, March 28th - Boys Final

A request was made for coaches to remind their players that no dribbling will be allowed in the halls.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:40 p.m.

The next scheduled CBL Meeting will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at 7:00p.m. at the Forks Community Center.
