The Rowland Middle School Prom for 7th and 8th graders will be held Friday evening, May 5, 2017, in the Rowland Middle School Cafeteria from 7-10 pm. The theme this year is “An Enchanted Evening.” The colors are blue, white, and silver.

Tickets will be on sale from April 24th – May 2nd , 2017. The cost of the tickets will be $20 per person. The money collected will be used to pay the expenses of the prom and is not a major fundraiser for the school. Tickets can only be purchased from homeroom teachers during homeroom only.

Dress for the evening will be DECENT formal or semi-formal clothing. Eighth grade students will vote ahead of time for a king and a queen, who will be crowned the evening of the prom.

7th and 8th grade students from Rowland Middle may attend the prom. Students from other schools will not be allowed to attend. Chaperones for the evening will be the staff, no other chaperones are needed.

The students in the 7th and 8th grades have discussed with the teachers the fact that discipline is key in determining whether they will be allowed to attend the prom. Therefore, if a student is assigned ISS or OSS April 3rd – May 5th, he or she will not be allowed to attend the prom. If your child wishes to attend the prom, then he or she must be willing to work hard to maintain good behavior/discipline. If a student buys a ticket and then is referred for discipline please understand that their ticket money will not be refunded.

Information regarding pictures and packages will be provided as soon as we receive it.

We are hoping that all 7th and 8th graders will attend the prom and that everyone will have a good time. Thanks for your support. Please sign at the bottom, detach that part and return the signed portion by your child when he or she purchases a ticket; without this form a ticket CANNOT be purchased.

I, the parent/guardian of ______agree to the above guidelines for the 2017 Rowland Middle 7th and 8th grades Prom – Friday, May 5, 2017. I give permission for my child to purchase a ticket for $20 (non-refundable). I also understand that if my child is assigned to ISS or OSS at anytime between April 3rd and May 5, 2017, he or she will be unable to attend the event.

I understand the guidelines and agree to follow all guidelines in place.
