Marcie Reed’s Living Obituary
Marcie Reed is 22 years old and was born on August 11, 1986, still living healthy today.
She is daughter of Rick and Cheryl Reed of Crawfordsville, Indiana. She also has two older brothers, Toby Reed, 25, who lives in Lafayette, IN and Robert Weliver, 36, who lives in
Camby, IN. The most important people in Marcie’s life are her friends and family, and her family who have become close friends. Her mother, Cheryl, is the best role model to Marcie, and she believes that she is a role model that any women could ask for. Though she may not have won a Nobel Prize or created her own charity, her mother is the wisest and most giving person
Marcie knows. She has given her daughter more insight into life than any course or professor ever could have and for that Marcie is forever thankful for. Marcie’s sister-in-law, Sarah Reed
(wife of Toby Reed) has quickly become someone that she can run to in times of need, times of celebration and laughter, and in times of tears and heartache. Not only is Sarah a member of her very close family, she is quickly becoming one of Marcie’s most trusted friends. Marcie has several other friends to whom she considers to be part of her family and though each deserves Stephen Forner CSR 309 March 12, 2009 their own praise, they all know why they are so important and why Marcie and them are such cherished friends, and for that only their names will be listed; Morgan Reese, Ali Kropf, Jessica
Dum, Julia Evans, and Mallory Kessler.
She treats people with respect and sincerity and genuinely cares for those she keeps close to herself throughout life. Though at times she may keep to herself and push people away, those who are close to Marcie know that she is a trusted friend and has a strong sense of loyalty.
Marcie is honest and true to her values and does not hold back when she feels that something is wrong in any situation. Marcie will stand up for what she believes in and she always believes in herself. She is very affectionate, at times a bit outspoken, a true hopeless romantic and in fact a loving person. Others may perceive Marcie as a very strong willed and intimidating person on occasion, while possessing a strong sense of trustworthiness and compassion. Though she has hurt people in her life, as all people do, Marcie has acknowledged her own mistakes and tried her best to learn from those mistakes, while correcting them in the future.
Even though Marcie has not had an ample amount of time in the 22 years of her life to contribute much to society, she knows that many people her age have done just that, and Marcie would like to leave some kind impression on and wow the people that she meets. She would like people to say that Marcie inspired them with her knowledge and that she gave them life changing advice. Helping others in situations in which they are unsure of their next step is a passion of
Marcie’s and she hopes to help transform someone’s life for the better in my lifetime.
Ever since Marcie was old enough to realistically imagine her life and set goals to achieving her dreams, that’s exactly what she has been doing. In high school she set a goal to get into Purdue University, become a Retail Management major and pursue a life in fashion. During Stephen Forner CSR 309 March 12, 2009 Marcie’s sophomore year she set a goal to get into the Fashion Institute of Technology in New
York City in order to expand her knowledge and set Marcie apart from other candidates upon graduation. Then during her junior year of college, Marcie attended the Fashion Institute of
Technology where she graduated with an Associate of Applied Sciences in Fashion
Merchandising Management. Within her senior year she had made the goal to get an outstanding job that she knew that she could enjoy and to live the rest of her college experience to the fullest.
In August of 2009 Marcie will begin working full time for Nordstrom, one of Fortune 500’s Best
Companies to Work for in 2008. Marcie set achievable goals and worked hard in every aspect of her life to make them successful.
Marcie Reed hopes to have a long fulfilling life ahead of her. She can be seen on and around campus, striving to better herself and enjoy the days left here at Purdue University.
