What We Know and Believe About Iranian Capabilities and Intentions

What we know and believe about Iranian capabilities and intentions

1) We know they have Russian Sunburn missiles that zig zag at 2.2 mach, straight in at 3.0 mach.

2) We know Iran funded the Pakistani nuclear program.

3) We believe that the quid pro quo was nuclear warheads for the Sunburn missiles that the Russians would not provide

4) We know there are 15,000 rockets in Lebanon and the command & control and underground facilities have all been upgraded using lessons learned from the 4,000.

5) We know they can cut the supply line from Kuwait to Baghdad in tiny pieces and begin the Siege of Baghdad

6) We know they have folks inside our own bases that can take over munitions and that they have ample Stingers and means of keeping Baghdad from getting a Berlin Airlift.

7) We know the Syrians know they are next. Anbar province in my view is a death trap waiting to be sprung.

8) We know that Iranians are Persians and have been planning this for a long time. They did not just plan for the US to knock off their two worst enemies, the Taliban and Saddam Hussein, they also planned for a Viet-Nam style quagmire that would being our Army and our Navy within reach of their weapons systems.

9) We know that the Iranians understand Tel Aviv as a center of gravity. I anticipate several exploding apartment buildings and offices, any place that a large enough suite of rooms could be stuffed with explosives and chlorine.

10) We know that they know that ten interdictions of key pumping stations in Nigeria, Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, and Russia will shut down the global economy.

11) We speculate that both the Chinese and the Europeans including Russia are thinking right now, about when the best time to sell US Treasury bonds and other equities might be, because after the Iranian’s complete their counter-attacks, they will be worth pennies on the dollar.

12) Finally, and I have no idea of what, when, where, but I anticipate demonstration attacks on a scale and in numbers we have not anticipated. This is *their* endgame that is playing out, not ours.

13) One other point not shared by many: Iraq-Iran are immoral imperialism of the highest order, and also totally unnecessary. Most do not realize that prosperity and peace can be purchased for one third the cost of war, and that the greatest enemy to Humanity is corruption. I know how to fix that, but at the rate this Administration is going, I am going to be destitute before I have a chance to do good. I fully expect another 75,000 amputees coming back. From where I sit, as a very well-read and experienced professional, everybody in the Pentagon has drunk the kool-aid and begun their death run. No one is reminding the top appointees of their Oath of Office. St.
