TO BE TAKEN BY ASSISTANT COACH. Warm Up Timed Run, Joint Mobility, Dynamic Flexibility and Static Stretching. 20 mins

DRINK BREAK Execute exercise as defined below.

Unopposed ball carrying – V Drag

30 mins.

Progression can include: 1. Posting up to receive ball before exercise. 2. Shot at goal after exercise, followed by second ball to replicate rebound.

CP's - Basic grip, high left elbow, keep the ball out in front of the body. Ball to remain on end of stick with a smooth movement – no tapping the ball. When pulling the ball back across the body from outside the left foot using the reverse stick , the player must take the ball to its furthest extent and accelerate quickly with change of direction using the open stick.

DRINK BREAK Tactical Play Posting up/Wide Base Receive (Moving forward to receive the ball) In pairs, player 1 makes strong hit to player 2 approximately 15m away, player 2 posts up to receive the ball. 30 mins Player 2 to roll out on left side Progression can include: 1. Player 1 passes with a lifted push 2. Incorporate a defender 3. Follow with shot at goal.

CP's – Post Up - The player receiving must run towards the ball and attempt to keep accelerating whilst receiving the ball. Keep a high left elbow to allow a more upright stick and keep the arms away from and in front of the body. Wide Base Receive - Players accelerate towards the ball then decrease stride length whilst maintaining pace On receipt of the ball body position should be low with knees bent and feet wide apart. Maintain a high left elbow with wide open hand basic grip Look to receive between the feet and central to the body. Players should keep the stick in contact with ball as much as possible after receiving the pass. Identify and move into space at pace

Left and right wing channel attacking Using 2v1 principle, work at attacking the goal using left and right channels. Starting at the halfway line, restrict play to within 10m of side line until in 23m and then attack goal. Progression can include: 1. Reverse stick strike at goal. 2. Commence exercise with an aerial ball.

CP's – Identify key areas of the attacking circle to concentrate on. Use various eliminations skills against defender and encourage use of width and space.

DRINK BREAK DRINK BREAK 3v2 Attacking Circle Work.

3 attackers against 2 defenders plus GK. Progression can include: Small Sided 1. Change starting positions of attackers and defenders Game 2. Incorporate a rebound ball if keeper saves. 30 mins CP's – Encourage attackers to break the play down into 2v1. Discuss lead runs and getting ahead. Again encourage use of width and space.

Game Play CP’s :- Error correct Identify playing positions of individuals and assess using feedback forms. 30 mins Cool down Debrief players and inform players of next session.
