Ventura College provides students who have completed coursework at outside institutions with an official evaluation of how this coursework applies to:  Associates degrees and certificates offered by Ventura College  CSU GE Certification for students transferring to a California State University campus  IGETC Certification for students transferring to a University of California campus or a California State University Campus

How to request a Transcript Evaluation: 1. All official external transcripts to be evaluated must be on file in the Admissions and Records Office. 2. Meet with a Counselor to discuss your educational goal and complete a transcript evaluation request. 3. A Counselor will complete the evaluation within two (2) weeks and the student will be notified when the transcript evaluation is complete. *During the summer the evaluation may take up to four (4) weeks. Students should schedule an appointment with a Counselor to follow-up on the evaluation and how it applies to the student’s educational goal(s).

Any other evaluation not following this process is considered as a preliminary review and is used only for advisement purposes.

It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that all “Official” transcripts are on file with the Admissions and Records office to complete an official evaluation. An official transcript is a transcript that is sent directly to Ventura College Admissions and Records office from the college/university or can be hand delivered, but must be in a sealed and unopened envelope. Work in progress coursework will not be evaluated.
