Position Title: Student Assistant Events Coordinator Pay Rate: $10.00-$11.00 per hour CSUF Department: Irvine Campus Supervisor: Dean Susan M. Cooper

Position Summary:

Candidate must be able to actively communicate and interact with a diverse student population and professional staff at all levels. In addition, candidate will demonstrate reliability and consistency through working scheduled shifts, coming to work on time, finishing assigned tasks, and meeting with his or her supervisor as needed. This position will be responsible for working with campus and community clients including reserving and tracking event space at the Irvine Campus. Candidate must have database & spreadsheet skills, be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. Other administrative duties as assigned. Responsibilities of the “Position” include:

Each candidate would work approx. 15 to 20 hours per week. Duties include but are not limited to:

 Responsible for working with campus and community clients reserving space at the Irvine campus  Scheduling available space at the IRVC campus  Room setup, configuration, and room resets for all scheduled events  Scheduling, invoicing, database spreadsheet tracking  Answering e-mail requests, answering room scheduling questions in person and over the phone  Receiving, distributing, and tracking Accounts Payable forms  Professional appearance & dress  Other clerical duties as assigned

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

 Scheduling and Invoicing  Independently working with clients  Accounts Payable reconciliations  Accurate tracking and review of all insurance and liability documents  Room setup and configurations  The ability to lift, move, and reconfigure room furniture daily  Ability to work as part of a team or independently with all room scheduling setup request  Catering, media, and parking arrangements  Excellent speaking and listening skills required  Working knowledge of IT equipment  Must have experience with all Microsoft Office applications including strong skills in Excel  High level of Customer Service skills
