NEENAH HIGH SCHOOL February 9, 2015 Daily Student Announcements

ORGANIZATIONS:

Anime Club - For our meeting this week, we will be outside for our meeting. Please come prepared to play in the snow. We will meet in the room then go outside. So bring hats, gloves, snow pants and your jackets.

Yoga club meets on Tuesday after school in the upstairs Pickard Lobby.

Art Club will be meeting in room 420 at 3:20 pm every Tuesday.

SEA Club will now meet on Tuesdays after school. Please plan to meet at 3:25 pm in room 164B.

Book Club will be reading “Paper Towns” by John Green. Please see Mrs. Mettlach if you have questions.

Eco Club meets every Wednesday at 7:15am in the library.

Attention all Business and Information Technology Academy, and DECA students, There is a field trip planned for St. Point on Wednesday, February 18. We will take a tour of the internationally- recognized UW-SP IT Dept., Sentry Insurance, and Verso Company. Pick up a permission slip from any business teacher for more information. It is due by Wednesday, February 11.

Yearbook will be meeting Wednesday after school in room 103.

Science Olympiad will meet every Wednesday night to prepare for the Regional Competition. See Mr. Sonntag in room 510 for details.

Knitting Club - Meets Wednesdays at 3:30 in the Career Center. See Mrs. Uvaas with any questions.

Prom Committee will meet every Thursday after school in room 208.

Creative Writing Club meets on Thursdays, in room 212. See Mrs. Mettlach with any questions.

Heart Group will be meeting on Thursday, after school in room 404. Diversity Fair is not far off. We will begin to look at some ideas. Contact Mrs. Jody Harrel with any questions.

______GENERAL:

Attention all students who are in clubs! Please remember that you will have your club picture taken on Wednesday, Feb. 11. Please check the sheets taped up in the office windows to find out what time your picture will be taken!

Adventure Ski Club is still trying to organize trips to Nordic this year. We need people!! We have to have at least 25 people to make this work! Please see Ms. Rowe in room 336 from mod 3 until the end of the school day to get signed up. This needs to be asap! On Saturday, April 11th, Neenah High School will be hosting the Fox Cities Dance Marathon. Those attending will raise money for the Children's Miracle Network, which benefits our local Children's Hospital, and then dance/stay active at the event for six hours.

Coffee House will be held on Thursday, February 26th at 7 pm. Auditions will be held the week before on Wednesday & Thursday (Feb 18 & 19) from 3:30 - 5:00 pm. Please sign up in the activities office!

Polar Plunge – Polar Bears are on sale for $1 at each office until 2/20. Part of the proceeds will go toward our very own Special Olympics.

There is a new dance club for all levels. We will be focusing on swing but various types of partner dances will be taught. For more information, check out “Swing Dance Club 2015” on Facebook or contact Louise Brownell.

The Cardio Room will be open to all students after school from 3:30--5:30 PM

Remember, students, there is NO Parking in the back row of Lot "B" (the main lot) when there is snow on the ground! That area is used for pushing snow into when the lot is ploughed. ______CONGRATULATIONS:

FVTC College Preview Night! Tuesday, Feb. 10th from 3 – 6 pm (Use entrance 10). Tour the campus, talk with students and faculty, and learn about campus life, financial aid and scholarships. Apply for admission ($30 application fee). No need to register… just stop by at your convenience.
