Slide Guide for a Career or division of the Armed Forces… Consider the following questions PLUS anything else YOU want to know. All costs or income mentioned should be based on an ANNUAL (full year) basis, NOT monthly. DO NOT PLAGIARIZE! Do not “copy & paste”…simplify & paraphrase on slides. Questions that will help point you in the right direction:
What is this job “really” like? What types of things will you do each day? What kinds of responsibilities will you have? What is the physical work environment like? What is the typical pay? What type of hours will you probably work? What are the pre-requirements (if any) for this type of work? (high school diploma, GPA, job experience…) At what age do most people in this line of work retire? How likely is it that the pay will increase with experience and by how much? How much PTO will you get? What kinds of “benefits” are typical in this line of work? (medical insurance, employer retirement contributions, sponsorships, college tuition assistance…) Are there any age restrictions for this work (minimum OR maximum)? Will this job provide on-the-job training that will help you advance? How much demand is there for this type of work right now? Will this work lead to other career opportunities? Can you interview someone who actually DOES or DID this job…?
