Bowman, Sallie Ruth 33 Thompson, Bessie K. Pearson, Edward Lee Keller, Ravenell 34 Keller, Jr., Lark Keller, Eva Sims, and Jacqueline K. Hill; and 35 36 Whereas, the first Keller reunion took place in the late 1970s at the 37 family home located in Jenkinsville, South Carolina, and has 38 continued periodically since then; and 39 40 Whereas, the Keller family members have always exemplified 41 strong leadership in their communities and have been a positive

1 [5288] 1 1 influence to young people by providing them with both mental and 2 physical help throughout their lives; and 3 4 Whereas, family reunions such as the Kellers’ are beneficial for all 5 generations and degrees of kinship, for they provide a special time 6 to reaffirm the bonds of unity and love that have been the family’s 7 backbone and strength for generations and to share stories, 8 wisdom, family history, heritage, legacy, roots, and the foundation 9 of love and unity for the future. Now, therefore, 10 11 Be it resolved by the House of Representatives: 12 13 That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, 14 by this resolution, extend a warm and hearty greeting to the 15 families gathering to celebrate the occasion of the Keller family 16 reunion to be held from September 11 through September 13, 17 2008, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. 18 19 Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to 20 the Keller family. 21 ----XX---- 22
