Ticker Club Golf Day

St. Luke’s Hospice AG&CC Golf Day

1. Event will take place on Wednesday 30 September 2015 and teams will consist of 4 persons playing a Stableford format with full handicaps counting. Lady golfers will be most welcome and can play (using ladies tees and Score Card) as all-ladies team(s) or as part of mixed team(s). 2. The best 2 scores on each hole (holes 1-16) will count towards the total team aggregate score and on holes 17 and 18 all 4 scores will be included in final team total. Team with highest team total WIN ! 3. Players without a club handicap will be allocated an appropriate figure by organisers on the day. 4. The usual Rules of Golf apply – together with the Local Rules of Alsager Golf Club (see Score Card and Club Notice Board). 5. Please observe the normal etiquette of good golfers: Avoid slow play by picking up when your team score has been achieved on each hole. Rake Bunkers and Repair pitch marks. No mobile phones – on the course or in the Clubhouse. 6. There will be NO longest drive competition – instead we offer a prize for the nearest second shot on the 11th hole and 18th hole. 7. Nearest the Pin prizes will be available on 1st, 4th and 9th holes. 8. A player scoring a gross birdie on any par 3 will receive a prize.

Coffee and a Bacon Bap will be available on arrival and following your golf round there will be a 2 Course meal. The Presentation Ceremony (for which the organisers hope all players will remain) will take place ASAP after the meal. Jackets/ties are NOT required for the Meal/Ceremony but a change of casual clothing is recommended.

St. Luke’s Cheshire Hospice relies almost entirely on the generosity of special people like you to raise the £3.9 million funding needed each year to deliver patient care services free of charge. I hope that a specific target for funds raised from this day will be announced on the day. You may like to know that it takes around £7000 per day to run the hospice providing Day-Care; In-Patient Care; Complementary Therapies; Counselling and Family Support and Spiritual Care.

I would appreciate an early response – either by the return of the completed form/cheque – or by phone/email if you are unable to play. A response by 10 July will enable me to allocate tee- times and to seek substitutes for negative replies.
