DATES : May 21 – Smallbore Rifle Silhouette Championship May 22 – Smallbore Hunting Rifle Silhouette Championship
ENTRY FEES: $70.00 for both days, $40.00 for one match. Fees include NRA and NCRPA sanction fees and lunch both days.
MEMBERSHIP: NRA membership is required. NCRPA membership is required for N.C. residents. Out of state competitors must be members of their state association.
REGISTRATION: Registration forms along with checks or money orders should be received by May 1st. Post entries accepted until match time or range capacity is reached. EARLY REGISTRATION IS ENCOURAGED AS RANGE CAPACITY MAY BE REACHED BEFORE THE MATCH BEGINS.
RANGE CAPACITY: 48 shooters per day. Don’t miss your chance, please register early!
PRACTICE: The range will be open for practice on Friday from 12:00pm until 5:00pm and on match days from 8:00am until 8:45am.
TIME: The matches will begin PROMPTLY at 9:00 each day.
SQUADDING: All competitors will be squadded. Let the match director know with whom you would like to be squadded. We cannot guarantee which animal you will start on. Competitors will score for the relay following them.
COURSE OF FIRE: Tournament will consist of two 40 shot matches each day as follows: 10 shots at chickens at 40 meters 10 shots at pigs at 60 meters 10 shots at turkeys at 77 meters 10 shots at rams at 100 meters
AWARDS: Will be based on the 80 shot aggregate.
Shoot-offs for ties and long run records will be fired after the tournament each day. Anyone setting a record of any kind must notify the statistician immediately in order for the paperwork to be completed.
RULES: Current NRA Smallbore Rifle Silhouette rules will apply. Empty chamber indicators will be required. Please read and understand the rulebook.
CLASSIFICATION: NRA rules will apply. Unclassified shooters will compete as Masters unless two are present to make a class. Lone competitors will shoot in the next higher class. Two competitors will make a stand-alone class. AWARDS: N.C. Open State Champion award will be presented to the highest scoring competitor. The N.C. State Champion must be a N.C. resident. Open Match Champion and 2nd and 3rd open will be awarded (who will not receive a class award). Class awards will be as follows: Three (3) places will be awarded in Master Class through B class plus High Animal in each class. Awards will be presented to High Senior, High Lady, and High Junior. Competitors winning multiple awards, with the exception of High Animal, will choose the award they wish to receive. Awards will be presented at the conclusion of the 2d match each day.
