4. Introduction of the new Chapter Officers
5. Presentations by UNLV graduate students
Meeting Summary:
This was an Annual meeting of the Chapter. During the meeting, the outgoing Chapter President (John Schmitt) gave the brief update on the past year activities and state of the Chapter. Last year the Chapter organized 4 general meetings and a social event. One meeting was hold together with the Nevada Test Site Historical Society. The social event was subsidized for registered members in the sum of $15/person. All year activities left $6275 in Chapter account. The outgoing Chapter Treasurer Bill Carl asked for two volunteers to perform a financial audit. The Chapter got a new logo and home page located on HPS server at

The outgoing Chapter President presented results the election of the Chapter officers for 2005/06. The election was held via email ballots only during May 2004. The candidates were proposed by the nominating committee, and the received ballots were counted independently by two of its members: Stacy Junio and Tony Mason. Two UNLV graduate students presented their papers:
o Clinton Abell – Establishing Uranium Migration Parameters for the Indian Spring Range
o Scott Wyler – Dual Energy X-ray Absorptionmetry use in Determining Body Composition of Student Athletes
Action Items:
As a result of the meeting, a number of action items were identified. These include the following:
John Schmitt is going to do further investigation of hosting the 2006 Midyear Topical Meeting of the HPS in Las Vegas
