Polygon Picture Project Name:______Pd:______Date:______

For this project you must draw a picture using ONLY polygons. Your picture can be of anything you choose (animal, place, thing, etc.). It must contain at least two triangles, two rectangles, two squares, two parallelograms, two trapezoids, and five other different polygons. When drawing specific polygons ensure that they have the correct characteristics (use a ruler and protractor if necessary). You must use at least 2 concave and 2 convex polygons, as well as 2 regular and 2 irregular polygons (These do not need to be different from the original shapes). Your picture should be drawn on a sheet of 8½ x 11 white paper. Be creative and colorful! Finally, you must write at least one paragraph telling a story about your picture. Be sure to include some polygon names in your story. The rubric for this project is below and continues onto the back.
