9th Annual Aviation Safety Award

Could you use $10,000 for Safety?

What has your organization done to increase safety that can be shared with the entire industry? Tell us how you have worked to achieve a higher level of safety in air medical aviation. Our goal is to identify unique safety initiatives, and share them with the entire industry so that others may benefit from them. If you are the award winner, Airbus Helicopters will contribute up to $10,000 toward your future efforts of promoting safety within your organization, as well as the entire industry.

Who is eligible? All AAMS Programs and/or Operators from the smallest to the largest are eligible for this award, regardless of the number, or type of aircraft you fly. You are free to nominate your own organization. Note: this is not intended to be an individual award.

What are we looking for? What safety initiatives have you implemented that are worth sharing with the rest of the industry? We want to encourage innovation and creative thinking and share those safety initiatives with the rest of the industry so others may emulate them. By submitting your nomination, if you are chosen as the winner, you are agreeing to have your safety initiatives published for the benefit of everyone.

How could you use your award? As part of your nomination, tell us how we can help you. Airbus Helicopters will contribute up to $10,000 to help the award winner's efforts to promote safety. Maybe you could use more money for special crew training programs. Maybe you need another set of NVG’s, or other safety equipment. Perhaps you need some financial help developing more GPS approaches to be shared with other flight programs, or as seed money to develop a new innovation for promoting safe operations. You tell us, and if you win, Airbus Helicopters will make this outstanding contribution to your efforts in promoting safety within your program. The award money is intended to be applied directly toward the safety effort, and should not be applied to general overhead expenses.

When are nominations due? Nominations are due by Friday September 11, 2015. Airbus Helicopters has appointed a blue ribbon committee chosen from the industry to review the applications and determine the winner. At the AMTC Awards Dinner and Banquet in Long Beach, CA (October 19-21, 2015), we will honor and share the specifics of the winning safety program with the industry. NOMINATION FORM
