 Analyzing, designing, building, maintaining, and testing reports, dashboards, universes, and systems while working directly with end-users and technical members of a data warehouse team.  Documenting universe and report design and related metadata, including automation of documentation.  Administering Business Objects and Crystal Reports, including configuration, installation of client and server products, and security.  Upgrading/Migrating from Business Objects version 4 to 5, 5 to 6, 6.1 to 6.5, and 6.x to XI, and XIr2 to XIr3. Assisted with installation of 4.0.  Report migration from legacy and other database systems (Cognos, Sagent) to Business Objects.  Reporting off of relational and OLAP universes.  Reporting and universe development in an environment integrated with SAP, involving BEx queries.  Providing software and hardware recommendations for installations, migrations, and upgrades.  User training on developed reports (including weekly training calls on many assignments).  Migration of reports and universes from one environment to another (development to system test and system test to production). Includes use of Import Wizard and BRIAR files.  Management, interviewing, and mentoring of other Business Objects developers.  Performance tuning of reports, universes, and servers.  Assessing and tuning performance of existing configurations.  Extensive experience with Business Objects in Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, Neteeza, MySQL, and SAP environments. Some experience with SalesForce and Oracle ERP.  Scheduling and publishing of reports.  Developing and implementing large-scale reporting solutions.  Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, and Xcelsius report development. Advanced knowledge includes dynamic drills and groups; complicated lists of values (including cascading and hierarchical, use of wildcards, ALL, last xxx date, current date, …); linked reports; and alerters.  Creating Xcelsius dashboards sending and receiving XML data, interacting with databases and providing live information via external websites.  Development of Xcelsius dashboards using universes and Bex queries as data sources.  Providing guidelines and best practices for report and universe creation and architecture.  Preparation of analytics, dashboards, and related universes using Business Objects Performance Management and Xcelsius.  Providing resolutions for report, universe, and server errors, including Web Intelligence Server Memory Full.  Heavy experience with Business Objects SDK (Desktop Intelligence, Designer, and Crystal Enterprise).  Incorporated Crystal Enterprise and Designer SDKs in designing tool used in r2 to r3 migration to extract, store, and update CMS and universe information in Excel and a database. Allows for updates of users and groups. Includes users, groups, group membership and hierarchy, webi reports, universes, and all other cms items for which security exists (folders, categories, applications, ...). Stored all security details, include limits, rights, and principals for every item. Created related views and Data Services projects to compare different cms's and universes
