VILLAGE THEATRE ANNOUNCES FULL CAST FOR MIGHTY SHOW BOAT FIRST REGIONAL PRODUCTION IN OVER 10 YEARS

Everett and Issaquah, WA – Village Theatre produces the first regional production in over a decade of Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein II’s romantic masterwork, Show Boat. Featuring many of Seattle’s top actors, Village Theatre is thrilled to announce their incredible, 28-person cast. Making his Village Theatre debut is award-winning actor Richard Todd Adams as Gaylord Ravenal. With a Masters in Music from The Juilliard School, Adams returns to the Pacific Northwest after starring as The Phantom in the recent production of The Phantom of the Opera that toured to the Paramount Theatre last Fall. His Broadway credits include The Woman in White and The Pirate Queen. Adams won a Jeff Award—awarded for excellence in theatre in the immediate Chicago area—for his portrayal of Javert in Les Misérables at Chicago’s Marriott Lincolnshire Theatre. Megan Chenovick returns to Village Theatre as Magnolia Hawks. With an extensive history in opera performance, Chenovick was a 2009 NW Metropolitan Opera Regional Finalist. Her opera credits include work with the Seattle Opera Guild, Skagit Opera, Tacoma Opera, and Music of Remembrance. Her musical theatre credits include Bye Bye Birdie, South Pacific, and Oklahoma! with Village Theatre and Into The Woods with ReAct Theatre. Debuting on the Village Theatre Mainstage is local favorite Cayman Ilika as Julie LaVerne. Hot off her recent role as Patsy Cline in Centerstage’s production of Always…Patsy at ACT, Ilika was recently seen in the Village Originals workshop presentation of The Gypsy King. Ilika studied vocal performance at the prestigious Berklee College of Music and has performed at The 5th Avenue Theatre, Capital Playhouse, ArtsWest, Harvard University, Kirkland Performance Center, and more. Greg McCormick Allen makes his return to the Village Theatre Mainstage this season as Frank Schultz. Recently Allen appeared in The 5th Avenue Theatre’s presentation of Hello, Dolly! and Village Theatre’s production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Other Village Theatre credits include Hello, Dolly!, The Music Man, On The Town, and Funny Girl—plus 11 other Mainstage shows.
