GRADUATION INFORMATION
The following list provides all of the necessary conditions of eligibility for the awarding of an Associate Degree or a Baccalaureate Degree:
1. The student must meet all hour and course requirements for the degree as described in the catalog. 2. The student must complete a minimum of 30 of the last 36 hours of course work at Hiwassee College. 3. The student must attain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 on all work attempted in order to receive a degree. 4. The student must file an application for a degree in the Office of the Registrar before a diploma or cap and gown will be ordered. Completion of degree requirements does not mean a diploma will be automatically ordered. Students should complete the application at the time indicated by the Office of the Registrar each year. 5. Students who will not complete degree requirements during the spring semester may participate in graduation provided they will lack no more than 6 hours at the end of the spring term. 6. Students must have their accounts cleared by the Business Office for receipt of diploma and transcripts.
